Charleston, WV. First stop on southern tour '03. Brand new store. Not too many people. Quiet in the gardening center, save an older lady asking for help with roses. Fellow in parking lot sees my NJ license plate and asks where I'm from. Turns out he lived nearby and has retired to WV. "I love it here, its not fast like NJ, but life is mighty good." |
